JUNIORS

for all boys & girls TURNING 11 THIS YEAR

The Age Groups for the MiniRoo’s has changed, which means that boys turning 11 this year will now play in an Under 12 team, which incorporates ladders and finals, instead of the previous structure of Under 11 Boys still being a MiniRoos age group.

The TCSC Committee and Coaches have put in a lot of work to form a more sustainable structure for our Under 12 - Under 16 boys that will better enhance their development and continue their participation with Football right through to the Senior levels.  From the beginning of this pre-season our Coaches will be aiming to coordinate a top age and bottom age format from the Under 12 and Under 14 boy’s teams where possible, to enable the kids of the same age to hopefully continue with the same peers as they progress through the years.  Top age refers to the older boys. Please note that friendships cannot necessarily be catered for if your children fall into a different age format to their mates.

trainING IS HELD EACH TUESDAY AND THURSDAY EVENING
U13 GIRLS - 4:30pm – 5:30pm
U15 GIRLS - 5:30pm
– 6:30pm
U12, U14 & u16 BOYS between 5:30pm – 6:30pm

WHERE DO WE TRAIN

All training is held at our Club grounds at 56 Davidson Street Traralgon. Coaches will have a selected pitch for their team so please check the board out the front of the clubrooms to see where this is for your child. Pitch locations can change sometimes throughout the season due to weather conditions but we always try to have the youngest age group up front, closest to their parents and the amenities. IMPORTANT! Please make sure your child’s details get recorded on the Team Attendance Sheet that the coach or helper will have with them. This way we can add you to our email list. Please do so even if you are unsure whether or not your child will play yet.

WHAT TO WEAR

On game day, TCSC supplies all kids with a Club Strip to be worn for the game. This must be returned after the game for washing by the rostered parent, please do not take these home!
Players are required to wear black shorts and long black socks with soccer boots, and don’t forget the shin guards, they are a definite must! We sell personalised jersey tops and jackets as well; the kids love to wear these to training. We encourage all kids and parents to purchase our Clubwear and wear it proudly!

WHAT ABOUT THE GIRLS?

The girls-only teams are still a few years’ young, but numbers are growing which is wonderful to see. At the Miniroo’s level, TCSC is pleased to have enough numbers to field girls only teams, however they will most often play against boy’s teams of the same age. But feedback is showing that the girls are more than happy with this! Imagine the wonderful competition that will be available for girls in years to come as the numbers continue to grow, it’s going to be exciting to watch.
